Summary

A long linear feature was identified as an earthwork from aerial photgraphs taken in 1979. The function of this feature is unknown but it is closely associated with a number of enclosure and ring ditch cropmarks in the surrounding area. It also appears to have some relationship to a Roman trackway at its northern end. This boundary was visible as a cropmark and mapped from aerial photographs : Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.
