Findspot record TR 26 NE 98 - Roman Follis of Constantine, Monkton

Summary

A Roman follis of Constantine was found during the construction of the Monkton gas pipeline in 1982. The findspot was in close proximity to Gore Street. The find dates to the early 4th century during the reign of Constantine from AD 306-337. Other than a few sherds of medieval pottery and a few flint flakes little else was found in this area of the pipeline.
