Full Description
[TR 28926554 sited from plan] An archaeological feature, bowl shaped in section was cut through during the construction of the Monkton gas pipeline in 1982. It was 6m across and 1.05m deep at the centre, where a small pit or post-hole extended down for 0.30m. The fill of the whole was brown loam. In this area twelve graves of Anglo-Saxon date were found (1-2) [See TR 26 NE 13]
