Full Description
TR 254695. Bronze Age settlement. Metal detector users have found a number of bronzes, spearheads etc., in this area during 1986/87. Remains of timbers are seen sticking out of mussel beds on mounds formed by the remains of Thanet Beds. Could represent remains of a prehistoric settlement. Some are undoubtedly 'modern' breakwaters. (1). Further details and context of site in area's inter-tidal archaeology see (2) and site photograph (3).
