Full Description
[TR 264 625] A small hoard of forty-nine Late Bronze Age implements including axes, socketed chisels, bracelets, broken swords, associatedwith a finger-top decorated potsherd in a pot (since lost) was found by workmen digging a drainage ditch during 1963. The discovery was made in the rear garden of a public house "The Rising Sun" [TR 2656 6250]. Apart from one axe "which was given to the publican, who handed it over to Mr J. Bradshaw in 1974" the finds were taken away by the building workers and given to Mr J. Coy of Margate. (1-3) Additional bibliography. (4)
