Monument record TR 27 SE 1 - Prob 1st century AD inhumation, Minnis Bay, Birchington
Summary
Erosion of the cliff at Minnis Bay in 1961 revealed a chalk cut grave containing an inhumation burial. This comprised a skull with 3 large nails about it, the remains of a drinking vessel and a patera. Thought to date to the 1st century. The finds are held in the Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex Park.
