Full Description

A LBA socketed axe, 4.375 inches long, was found on the Roman Road at Pineham in 1937 by Mr M Tollidge of Pineham. The implement was deposited in Dover Museum but it cannot now be traced; it was probably lost when the museum was partly destroy during the last war. Mr Mactoldridge is now aged and does not remember the exact findspot. (1-3)
