Full Description
During an evaluation at "Seamark", The Droveway, St Margret's at Cliffe a trench and found two graves and a pit or gully. No attempt was made to fully excavate either of the skeletons but the presence of inhumation burials was confirmed. The pit or gully extended beyond the edges of the trench. All of the features were provisionally dated to the Anglo-Saxon period. A sherd of Anglo-Saxon pottery was found in the gully/pit. (1)
