Full Description

The cutting end of a Ne polished flint axe, probably ritually broken, on display in Dover Museum (accession number A1/807) was found 1957 in Bere Wood, Guston (centred at TR 34134390). Mrs Milner of Brompton House, Guston, who gave the axe to the museum in the same year, stated that one of her sons had found it by a foxhole whilst out shooting, but he could not remember the exact findspot.
