Summary
An Anglo Saxon scramasax and bead was located during the excavation for the foundation of a building to the rear of the Maison Dieu, Dover, in 1808. the knife is inlaid with bronze and dates to the 10th or 11th century. (location accurate to the nearest 100m based on available information)
