Summary
During excavations for a 2.7m drain trench behind the Prince Regent Inn at the corner of Market Square and Market Lane in 1922, pebble boulders, fragments of tile (one or two inscribed), plaster, bones and shell of a Roman date, were uncovered. (location accurate to the nearest 10m based on available information)
