Full Description

Dear Antler and Roman silver spoon found, Dover. A excavation at the back of the shop of Mr Robertson, the chemist, on the western side of High Street (centred TR 315417) in the Dower Valley, Dover, showed a thick bed of calcareous hill wash with tufa towards the base. In this lower aterial was a piece of red deer antler and a Roman silver spoon. (1)
