During a small excavation inside the Dover Engineering works off Bridge Street, Dover in 1974, a layer of brown loam containing numerous finds of a Medieval date was located beneath a 1m deep deposit of post medieval/modern brick rubble. (location accurate to the nearest 10m based on available information)
