Summary

Full Description
TR 32174164. A few sherds of Samian ware were discovered on the site of the old Salem Chapel during investigation by members of the Dover Archaeological Group in 1972. The sherds were found in a green pebble/gravel layer below a layer of black alluvial mud which extended from natural brick-earth to the footings of the chapel and which extended across the whole site, the finds being at the north-east extremity.
