Full Description
A stone coffin found in 1710 at Gosshall, Ash (TR 3058) was thought by Harriss, the Kentish historian to be Roman. (1) No further information could be discovered as to the provenance or location of this find. (2)
Goss Hall is located at TR 3010 5870. A settlement and associated burials (14 cremations and 1 inhumation) are located at TR 3043 5850. Only a part of this settlement and was excavated so the stone coffin likely relates to this.
