Full Description
TR 3452 5559 About 30 sherds of Beaker pottery, of which 8 have impressed, comb-tip decoration, were produced from dyke clearing and asingle trial trench in an area to the SE of Great Wood. The pottery came from a layer some 0.06 - 0.13m thick, in the top of the silty clay and it was associated with much struck flint and "pot-boiler". This layer was between 0.47m and 1.25m below ground level, and coveredan area estimated to be at least 18m in diameter. (1)
