Full Description
TR 322583. A mesolithic Adze was found by Mr L Danton while cultivating at Poulders Farm, Sandwich. The flint (see illustration card) is made of black flint with brown veining and is 17.2cms long and weighs 333grams. The area was probably tidal marsh on the edge of the Wantsum Channel in mesolithic times. The Adze is being presented to the Regal Museum, Canterbury by the landowner, Mr D Larkins. (1 - 2)
