Full Description
Roman black pottery and two quern stones (?IA/Ro) were found about Tenants Hill (Sandhills) near the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club House, Deal, whilst water was being laid to the greens [c1900 judging from context of note]. One upper stone of conglomerate (probably the older) the other, better made, a lower stone. (1,2)
