Full Description
A collection of unassociated Iron Age C pottery from Mill Hill, Upper Deal, was made c1907-1915 by the late Capt C.F. Newington. One find of particular note is a Tazza which is only the third example of this type known in Kent. On analogy with other material it may be dated cAD 30-40 (see illustration card). (1) Now in Deal Castle Museum (part of the Newington-Stebbing Collection catalogued by Ogilvie & Dunning). Mill Hill is now largely built over and an exact provenance is not known.
