Full Description
(TR 36455174. Sited to place name only). A medieval bronze key was found in May 1933 while digging in a garden in Manor Road, Upper Deal. The key, cast in bronze, is 3.5 inches long, covered in a thick greenpatina (see illustration card). There is evidence that the key had been in use for a long time before it was lost. This type of key is probably late fourteenth century in date. (1)
