Monument record TQ 56 SW 75 - Ornamental Tree Ring (Site of), Lullingstone Park

Summary

Enclosure with one flattened (but not straight) side on east margin of Lullingstone Park: Pit cluster inside: possible smaller enclosure. Large feature shown on 1802 estate map as a ring of trees, diminishing in size on later trees. Now under plough and no trees remain. Possibly an ornamental feature of elms and other trees constructed in the 18th or early 19th centuries.
