Full Description

The cropmark remains of a linear feature, possibly the agger of a Roman road which were visible as a positive feature. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Richborough Environs Project

The cropmark remains of a two sections of a linear feature, possibly the agger of a Roman road which were visible as a positive feature. It is aligned NE-SW and can be traced for over 150m. It appears to be on the same alignment and may be part of a fragmented linear of which two further possible sections can be traced, to the north-east and south-west. These features appear to be aligned directly on the the vicus and Roman fort of Richborough and could be the fragmented remains of one of the roads from Richborough. The separate sections have been recorded in NMR TR35NW 194 and 196. (1)
