Two sections of sea wall which may originally been continous. Comprise of a bank which was constructed in 1365 following an inundation of the sea between Cliffsend and Stonar.

Extends from TR 3397 6221 to TR 3391 6260 and TR 3394 6312 to TR 34166378] Boarded Groin [NR - 2 places] (1)

The Boarded Groins opposite Ebb's Fleet Lane and at Pepperness (they
may have been continuous) were probably built in 1365 when there was
an inundation of the sea between Cliffsend and Stonar. (2)

The Boarded Groin, extent as given, as a simply-constructed earthen
bank 6.0 m - 9.0 m in width and up to 1.5 m in height, and in fairly
good condition. Published 1/2500 survey revised. (3)

TR 340 634 Medieval sea wall as an upstanding earthwork. (5)
