Full Description
Goudhurst war memorial was designed by local architect Hubert Joseph Benians. It was built by Davis & Leaney working with Henry Cole the stonemason. It was unveiled on Sunday 30th November 1924. (1)
It consists of a rusticated ashlar cross with a gabled plinth, with a panel within the front gable. This stands atop a hexagonal dais, again of rusticated ashlar, which is atop two steps. There are three panels set into the faces of the dais recording the names of the fallen of the two World Wars.
