Full Description

Charted as LE PELERIN DE LA MER, 'entire wreck' in the Marine zone.
Vessel structure:
Lies in position 51°10.93N, 001°34.03E at a depth of 33m in a general depth of 36m.
Sonar dimensions: 35 x 10m. Orientation: 145°. Debris field close to wreck. No scour.
A 1994 examination revealed the wreckage to be 'in three main sections.'
Documentary evidence:
'Capsized and sank. Crew safe.'
'The French fishing vessel capsized and sank in heavy weather, her crew rescuing themselves in their own life rafts.
The wreck was located by the Trinity House vessel SIREN, lying in 45m depth, approximately 212°, 2.7 miles from the
East Goodwin Light Ship. Decca position (English chain) Red(E) 15.2, Green(G) 43.8.'
