Full Description

[Area TR 358650] Cropmarks (two ring ditches). (1) The sites of two probable round barrows situated upon the crest of a ridge. The ground is under cabbages: nothing was seen. (2) TR 35816507. Cropmarks of 6 ring ditches, 4 large, 2 small, at TR 35816507, TR 35876507, TR 35916503, TR 35936502, TR 35806501, TR 35836497 consecutively. (3) TR 359651 (sited to nearest 50m) Cropmarks of BA barrows. Site No.159. (4) TR 358650. Cropmarks in cereals and root crops shwo at least 5 ploughed off round barrows, some with internal features. (5) The six probable Bronze Age round barrows have been mapped as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project and have been recorded separately in individual child NRHE monument records to this record.
