Full Description
TR 354665 (sited to nearest 50m) Romano British remains discovered in1978 (sic). Site no 135. (1) TR 354665 Roman ditches found during excavation by the Thanet Archaeological Unit in 1978 at Lydden in Ramsgate. (2) TR 354665. Roman site discovered in 1979. In 1979 deep ploughing brought hundreds of oyster shells to the surface of the field. A shorttrench was excavated by the Thanet Archaeological Unit which yielded an occupation layer rich in midden materials of all kinds and Roman pottery. (3)
