Full Description
The site of medieval windmill visible as a cropmark in aerial photos of 1990 to the south of Woodnesborough.
In 2005 a Time Team project investigated the site. The cross-trees foundation for the mill were found. There were also two shallow linear features nearby that might be the result of the windmill being positioned via a tiller beam being used to rotate the mill on a central post. The mill was likely to be late medieval and to have been demolished in the early post medieval period. (1)
