Full Description
[TR 092178] Prospect Cottage is a weatherboarded wooden fisherman's cottage which was purchased by the artist Derek Jarman in 1986 and became his home until his death in 1995. The cottage is chiefly renowned for its garden; in the flat, bleak expanse of shingle at Dungeness Jarman developed a garden combining the areas indigenous plants with flints, shells, driftwood and sculptures made from stones, old tools and found objects, together with introduced flowers and shrubs.
