Monument record TR 35 NW 821 - Post medieval features, 19-21 Cattle Market, Sandwich
Summary
A number of post medieval features, mostly dating to the 18th and 19th centuries were found during a watching brief in 2009. These included a pit (probably a 19th century soakaway) and a possible well. The well was filled in the late 18th or early 19th century and amongst the stones was a fragment of from a carved tomb effigy, probably of Tudor date.
