Full Description
In 2003 a watching brief carried out by the Trust for Thanet Archaeology during building works recorded the presence of a medieval midden. It was much disturbed by animal burrowing but contained whelk, mussel and oyster shell. It also produced pottery dating to the 12th century and two fragments of burnt daub. Another feature was also observed during the watching brief, a possible foundation, but it could not be dated. (1)
