Full Description

A watching brief carried out in 2009 by the Canterbury Archaeological Trust on foundations for a new building found traces of a post medieval chalk quarry. The quarry consisted of a large irregular pit and a small collection of post medieval pottery was found. The quarry was probably in use during the 17th and 18th centuries. (1)
