Full Description

In 2006 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation at Menzies Road. Only modern features were observed but a small collection of prehistoric finds was recovered. Nine flints were found, these include a core, an end scraper, three retouched flakes and an awl. The rest were flakes. All of the flints belong to the Neolithic-Bronze Age industry. A single piece of pottery was found in the subsoil. It was flint tempered and so broadly dated to the Bronze Age-Iron Age. (1)
