Full Description
Walkover survey of Cole Wood West by the South East Woodland Archaeology Forum in 2010 found above-ground evidence of 2 banks and associated depressions, probably related to post-medieval brickearth extraction.
One section of bank is roughly straight and runs for c.80m; the other is curvilinear and runs for c.110m. They may have once been one continuous bank. The depressions, situated in the gap between the two lengths of bank, range from 15m to 40m in length.
