Full Description
A small round mound is located in the gardens of St Clare Estate, to the east of Kemsing. Is 13.3m across and 2.7m high. The mound, known as Prospect Mound, is artificial and was used as viewing point to overlook the park and garden. The estate consists of a 17th century house and buildings. The mound was created in the mid 18th century. It was reused during remodelling of the gardens in late 19th century by Mr Inigo Thomas. (1)
