Full Description
Motor Stables to the rear of Sir David Salomon's House.
Building survey by English Heritage in 2009. The original motor stables were built 1890-4, slightly to the south of the current garages. These were replaced by the current garages sometime before 1902. The complex consists of 5 individual garages of brick, with the front faced with sandstone. The three southernmost garages have inspection pits. The survey found the buildings to be in a virtually original condition, with many of the original furnishings remaining, though two of the garages have been lengthened sometime since 1906.
