Full Description
Excavation by Maidstone Area Archaeological Group at the Museum of Kent Rural Life in 1986-7 found Roman building material, including roof tile, tessera, painted plaster, mortar, box-flue tile, ragstone rubble, and pottery. This suggests a Roman building in the vicinity. (1)
