Full Description
TR 35006995. A cropmark (?) occasionally appears in dry weather in the middle of the Tivoli Park playing field. In c.1980 human remains were found here in an unauthorised dig. It is speculative that the cropmark indicates the ditch of an enclosure. (1)
The cropmarks of a large ring ditch with a diameter of 30m (possibly a large Bronze Age round barrow) is visible on aerial photographs: NMR 15387/08 30-AUG-1995. This has been mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The site appears as a incomplete, probably due to the lack of clarity of the cropmark. (2)
