From the National Heritage List for England:
LEIGH LEIGH 5280 Church Hill (West Side) The White House TQ 5446 19/644 II 2. Double-span house with early C19 front, probably C16 back, the whole over mediaeval cellar of coursed stonework, upper parts renewed in brick. 2 storeys, 3 windows, painted brick. Fairly low pitched tiled roof with eaves soffit and end chimneys. 1st floor recessed sash windows with glazing bars. Ground floor replaced casements under gauged brick arches. Projecting brick porch under low pedimented gable. Hoodmoulds to windows and to door of 3 and 3 panels. Back part, much altered, has weatherboarded lst floor, brick ground floor.

In 2010 a watch brief was conducted at the White House prior to an extension. One feature was observed, a Medieval stone wall. No other archaeological features or cultural material was discovered. (1)
