Full Description

TR 351675 and TR 352676. Linear cropmarks of enclosures and possible building. A series of cropmarks are visible in the fields on both sides of the valey. Those to the west in front of Bradgate House reveal a rectangular ditched enclosure with causeway entrance and internal features. The ditch was sectioned by the Thanet Archaeological Unit in 1980 and grog-tempered Romano-British sherds found. The other crop and soil marks on the eastern crest of the valley can be interpreted as the footing trenches of a small Romano-British building. Romano-British coins and bronzes have been found there by metal detector. (1)
