Monument record TR 36 NE 192 - Barrow and field system cropmarks, Newington, Ramsgate
Summary
Aerial photographs taken in the 1960s before this area was built up show linear cropmarks suggestive of round barrows, field boundary systems, prehistoric farmstead boundary ditches and possibly buildings. There were persistant reports by building workers and the public of burials and building remains being encountered during development work on the site in the 1970s.
