Full Description
In 1992 a Phase 2 evaulation by Canterbury Archaeological Trust was done in Tyler Hill. A medium amount of Bronze Age pottery was found, 50 sherds appearing to be from one vessel. It included one possible base sherd and threejoining rim sherds. Appears to be a large diameter shouldered bowl, similar to Neolithic tradition but regionally similar to Deverel-Rimbury style dated to the Bronze Age. More prehistoric pottery was recovered but it could only be broadly dated to the Iron Age. (1,2)
