Full Description
In 1992 a Phase 2 evaluation was done by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in to the north-west of Vale Farm. A large amount of prehistoric pottery was found, 24 sherds in all, found in trench PT5C. Two sherds were seen as indeterminate but and another datebale to the Late Iron Age, AD 25-75. The remainded were flint-tempered, including one rim, assigned to the Late Bronze Age c.800-750 BC, perhaps even c.900-950 BC. Nine sherds of the same dating were found in trench PT5B. (1)
