Full Description
A Second World War infantry pillbox lis located between the railway and the river. The pillbox is blocked up and in poor condition. (1)
A 2024 survey described it as "Above tow path West Side of River Medway adjacent to Gabriel’s Boat Yard. Part of Medway Stop Line. Concrete construction. Embrasures sealed but entrance open. Possible weapons pit just behind and above the pillbox. Good overall condition. " (2)
Brick-shuttered type 24 pillbox, with entrance and embrasures bricked-up. The area of the pillbox is used for building huts, etc associated with motorway works. Near the M20 motorway at bridge over the River Medway. (3)
