Full Description
During the Second Wiorld War a roadblock was constructed on the A229 north of Maidstone to prevent access to the town from the north. (1)
Exact location not clear from 1946 aerial photographs.
Fixed road blocks. On Chatham Road (A229) at junction of Forstal Road, Sandling, nr. The Running Horse public house. (2)
