Full Description
In 1993 an evaluation for the improvements on the A523 between Monkton and Minister by Trust fro Thanet Archaeology. Part of Anglo-Saxon sunken feature building was observed in trench E. The way the building was constructed, the levelling of the chalk and flat bottomed post holes suggest it is Saxon. It vaguely resembles the rough construction of buildings at the Saxon settlement at Puddlehill, Bedfordshire. (1)
