Possible medieval / post-medieval saltmound, though some of the other mounds in the area have been suggested to be Roman kilns. Visible in Google Earth images of 2007 and 2012.

Selected Heritage Inventory for Natural England: A mound of indeterminant function. Identified from aerial photographs and during field surveys. The discovery of a Roman cremation group in this vicinity and a number of discoveries of Roman pottery sherds may suggest this was the site of a Roman Kiln
