Full Description

In 1992 field walking was conducted by Canterbury Archaeological Trust along the proposed route of the Denton Hawkinge bypass. In field 15 prehistoric pottery sherds as well as areas of burnt flint were observed. This suggested some ancient occupation here. A few more smaller sherds of pottery were also found during the evaulation. (1)
