Full Description
In 1994 a survey of the woods of Blean conducted by Canterbury Archaeological Trust. It was observed that there were indication of a site of a mill near a bridge. There are traces of a deep pool and what may have been a mill race. There is an absence of building materials but these seems of little significance since there are other known areas within the woodlands where previous buildings stood yet there is no building material debris. A map of 1769 shows a bridge over the stream with buildings next to it. (1)
There is no evidence of the mill on the 1st edition OS map (1862-75)
