In 1994 Oxford Archaeological Unit conducted fieldwalking over the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. It is thought much of the Post-Medieval pottery recovered throught he fieldwalking was due to refuse dumping rather than a settlement site. Most of it is datable tot eh 18th and 19th century. (1)
